Lakewood Montessori is a preschool in Boise that loves learning. We know that the first six years of life are the most important in a child’s development, and we believe in creating an environment where a child can reach their full potential. We nurture each child’s growing body, mind, and heart!

What is Montessori?
Not your typical preschool! Montessori classrooms are mixed-age communities where children engage in multi-sensory learning, independent exploration, and care for the people and things around them. Students follow their curiosity at their own pace, taking the time they need to fully understand each concept. In this supportive environment, children become self-driven, passionate learners.
All Year Montessori
Not your typical preschool, and not your typical schedule! We operate on an All-Year Montessori schedule: learning is best when it’s supported full-day and year-round. No busy transitions to other programs or camps: your child’s day is relaxed and full of learning opportunities with their daytime family.
Who We Are
Lakewood Montessori is a Boise preschool that was built from the ground up by early childhood educators. We believe that every child has great gifts to give to this world. Our school owners are former classroom teachers. Our faculty is highly trained and experienced. Just as importantly, they are nurturing, caring guides who seek to understand each child for the special person that they are. We’d love to welcome you to our Lakewood Montessori family!

We are a fully accredited member school of the American Montessori Society, an organization that sets the standard for Montessori schools. Our accreditation is part of our commitment to continual improvement and authentic Montessori practice.
The National Council for Private School Accreditation is dedicated to the accreditation process as a viable and responsible means of establishing a witness of school excellence.
