Admissions
We’re so excited to meet your family! Learn about our Montessori school admissions process below. We enroll year round, and we recommend joining our waiting pool early. Students are accepted into the Toddler Community between the ages of 15 and 26 months, and into the Children’s House between the ages of 30 months and four and a half years. We accept children with prior Montessori classroom experience for Kindergarten enrollment.
Schedule
All Year Montessori
8:00-5:00 Mon.–Fri. Year-Round
At our Montessori school, learning is full-day and year-round. Instead of rushing through transitions to before- and after-care, or lost learning during summer gaps, we offer a relaxed day where your child moves at their own pace in a home-like environment with their daytime family.
Admissions Process

2. Submit an Application
You'll receive an application after your tour to enroll your child in our waiting pool. Applications are accepted throughout the year. We recommend applying early!
3. Accept your child's spot
Once a space is available for your child, we'll send you a registration packet, parent handbook, and enrollment info. Secure your child's space by turning in your paperwork.
4. Attend Orientation
Your child's teacher will reach out to schedule a virtual parent orientation. Come prepared with any questions you have about the classroom!
5. Meet the Teacher
The special relationship between child and teacher begins with a classroom visit. Your child's teacher will give them a tour of the classroom and help them prepare for their first day.
6. Watch them Grow
The first six years of a child's life are full of marvelous changes and discoveries. We're excited to be a part of your family's journey!

What are parents saying?
Hear what Lakewood Montessori families have to say about our Boise preschool:
We hit the jackpot with Lakewood and his teacher Ms. Cecelia. We have had 2.5 years here and if they had grades beyond kindergarten, we'd never leave!
When we started at Lakewood, our child took time to get comfortable and the loving and experienced staff were so patient and understanding. Now, we have a confident and engaged kindergartener.
Lakewood has provided more than just a loving and supportive learning environment. It has fostered community, provided support to us as parents, and also set the bar impossibly high for any future school our child attends!
The staff at Lakewood so clearly love the children in their care and are committed to developing the whole child. There is a huge commitment to being true to the Montessori model and ensuring staff are trained in this method.
On top of all that, the school has fantastic grounds with shady play space, gardens, and quail!
I could not be happier with our experience at Lakewood--unless they let us stay forever!
Mary, Karen, and their wonderful team of teachers consistently went above and beyond to support our children and set them up for success—we are truly grateful for the care, dedication, and heart they bring every day.
The teachers are highly qualified, experienced, and clearly supported with ongoing professional development, which shows in the thoughtful, high-quality learning happening in each classroom. The school itself is beautiful and intentionally designed, offering a rich environment where children can explore, grow, and enjoy plenty of time in fantastic indoor and outdoor spaces.
We especially appreciated the strong sense of partnership with families. Opportunities for connection—like community events, PTA involvement, and parent-teacher conferences—made us feel engaged and supported every step of the way.
We couldn’t recommend Lakewood Montessori more highly and feel incredibly fortunate to have been part of such a caring and inspiring community.
Our two children have completely different personalities and learning styles, yet both thrived during their time at Lakewood. The environment nurtured their confidence, curiosity, and growth in ways that have shaped them positively far beyond the classroom. We are incredibly grateful for our experience at Lakewood Montessori and the lasting impact it has had on our family
