We’ve had a wonderful experience with Lakewood Montessori. The teachers are caring, attentive, and genuinely invested in the children’s growth and development. We absolutely love Lakewood Montessori! After exploring several other options, we realized that not all of the schools calling themselves “Montessori” were actually accredited Montessori schools. That distinction really mattered to us, and Lakewood stood out.
It has been wonderful watching our child’s independence, confidence, and curiosity grow. The teachers create such a nurturing environment while encouraging children to explore, make choices, solve problems, and truly enjoy learning.

Lakewood Montessori is amazing! Both of our boys go there and we absolutely love it, from the outside time spent exploring and playing to the indoor Montessori classrooms that build independence and confidence. The teachers are wonderful and many have been there for years — a true rarity in childcare these days. We can’t recommend it enough!
We sent both of our children to Lakewood from about 16 months through kindergarten. All of the staff and administration is amazing. They put the children first, always. Even when they had to give challenging information. Our child needed outside therapy and counseling, they did it with grace and gave us so many resources.
The staff turnover is incredibly minimal. My children are almost four years apart and had the same teachers. Those teachers are still there today and my oldest is in Jr high!
The outdoor program and extra curriculars are phenomenal. Would recommend Lakewood for absolutely any family.

Lakewood has been absolutely wonderful with our two children. I toured many daycares and fell in love with the gorgeous playground and garden space at Lakewood. The teachers are so warm and genuine and I can see how loved and supported my children have been. They have both absolutely blossomed here!
Our toddler was diagnosed with diabetes which was completely unexpected and his teachers and school staff were so supportive throughout the process. They do everything with intention so I have been able to have confidence that they take his care seriously and have been willing to learn along the way.

Hard to capture how wonderful Lakewood is. The perfect environment for our 2 boys to learn and grow around a loving community with incredible teachers. We are so thankful!!
It’s hard to overstate how special Lakewood has been to our family. Both our kids absolutely loved their years there, and my husband and I had the pleasure of knowing with certainty that they were safe, nurtured and loved when we were at work. Lakewood creates a true community of respect, gratitude and independence. The kids get to climb trees, splash around, build forts, plant flowers, raise baby quails, harvest their own veggies — oh, and learn crucial preschool and kindergarten skills, too. Just 10/10.
The teachers and learning environment at Lakewood have been phenomenal. We love how much outdoor time the kids get every day, and how involved they are in the day to day activities at the school. The kids get to experience planting and watering the school garden, feeding the classroom animals, caring for the school quail and gathering eggs, just to name a few things. They learn real life skills and are entrusted with classroom jobs and responsibilities that help them build confidence and gain experience. They learn simple things like how to put their shoes and coats on by themselves, while also getting a classroom education. I would highly recommend Lakewood Montessori to anyone looking for a thoughtful and engaging preschool for their little ones.
