Stop looking for a preschool for your little one, because you've found it. Lakewood is an incredible place, and I can't imagine sending our kiddos anywhere else. Their staff are experienced and dedicated, with incredibly low turnover, and they are the ONLY AMS certified Montessori in Idaho. The classrooms are all thoughtfully designed and set up to create a space wholly for the children. Independence isn't just encouraged, it's enabled. Kids' natural inclination to approach the world with wonder and curiosity is nurtured, not discouraged. Outdoor time is ample, and the garden and playground space is so amazing that I want to spend the whole day there. Art and Spanish get dedicated time. Each classroom has animals the children get to care for, including several community quail and bunnies--this spring our kiddos got to see how eggs are incubated and hatched. I'm 100% serious when I say that I have zero complaints. If we were ever thinking of moving away, taking our kids out of Lakewood would be a major deterrent.

Lakewood Montessori is an exceptional school. From the garden to the art room to the intentional and caring classrooms our kids have truly thrived here. The community and environment that has been created here not only supports our kids while they are at school, but also supports what we can do as parents. Lakewood encapsulates the best parts of childhood while helping guide our children to strengthen their academic, social and emotional skills. Truly thankful we found Lakewood!

We absolutely love Lakewood Montessori! After exploring several other options, we realized that not all of the schools calling themselves “Montessori” were actually accredited Montessori schools. That distinction really mattered to us, and Lakewood stood out.

Lakewood Montessori is amazing! Both of our boys go there and we absolutely love it, from the outside time spent exploring and playing to the indoor Montessori classrooms that build independence and confidence. The teachers are wonderful and many have been there for years — a true rarity in childcare these days. We can’t recommend it enough!
We sent both of our children to Lakewood from about 16 months through kindergarten. All of the staff and administration is amazing. They put the children first, always. Even when they had to give challenging information. Our child needed outside therapy and counseling, they did it with grace and gave us so many resources.
The staff turnover is incredibly minimal. My children are almost four years apart and had the same teachers. Those teachers are still there today and my oldest is in Jr high!
The outdoor program and extra curriculars are phenomenal. Would recommend Lakewood for absolutely any family.

Lakewood has been absolutely wonderful with our two children. I toured many daycares and fell in love with the gorgeous playground and garden space at Lakewood. The teachers are so warm and genuine and I can see how loved and supported my children have been. They have both absolutely blossomed here!
Our toddler was diagnosed with diabetes which was completely unexpected and his teachers and school staff were so supportive throughout the process. They do everything with intention so I have been able to have confidence that they take his care seriously and have been willing to learn along the way.

Hard to capture how wonderful Lakewood is. The perfect environment for our 2 boys to learn and grow around a loving community with incredible teachers. We are so thankful!!
